Play begins Thursday morning at 9 a.m. with doubles, as Alvarez Sande and Murphy face Washington's Erika Matsuda and Carina Syrtveit in the first round. In singles action, Alvarez Sande will face Washington's Jermine Sherif at 10:30 Thursday morning while Murphy goes against Stanford's Sein Myoung, also at 10:30 a.m.

From those draws, six singles players will qualify for the NCAA Singles Championship (semifinalists, two quarterfinal playoff winners). Meanwhile, three doubles teams will qualify for the NCAA Doubles Championship (champion, finalist, third place).
