SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – (November 29, 2025) – Washington State women's volleyball capped its Bay Area trip with a sharp sweep of San Francisco on Saturday afternoon, rolling 27-25, 25-14, 25-22 inside the War Memorial at the Sobrato Center.
The Cougars (17-11, 11-7 WCC) controlled the match from start to finish, hitting a crisp .350 and out-killing the Dons 54-28 while never allowing the hosts to build sustained momentum.
Eliana Ti'a powered the attack with one of her most efficient outings of the season, pouring in 16 kills on .583 hitting to go along with seven digs and an ace.
Mary Healy added 10 kills and three blocks, while
Melina Christodoulou chipped in nine kills and a team-high seven digs as the Cougars spread the offense with ease.
Tinons Munar Galmés anchored the Cougar back row with 12 digs and two aces, and WSU's serve-pressure proved decisive, forcing 14 Don service errors and consistently disrupting their rhythm.
The opening set featured 12 ties and five lead changes, but WSU steadied late. Christodoulou put away back-to-back points to help erase a 23-21 deficit, and
Camryn Lingenbrink and Christodoulou stuffed a swing on set point before
Kylie Wong delivered the clinching kill for a 27–25 win.
From there, the Cougars shifted into full command. WSU exploded on a 10-0 run in the second set behind the pinpoint setting of
Livia Ward, who finished with 44 assists while steering the offense to a blistering .515 hitting percentage in the frame.
Lingenbrink tallied two kills and four blocks on the afternoon, while Ward added five digs and even notched a kill of her own during the surge.
The Dons managed to hang around in the third, but every time San Francisco threatened, WSU answered. Lucie Blažková ripped seven kills, and Christodoulou delivered clutch swings down the stretch before Blažková closed the match with a clean kill off a Ward set.
