ND Okafor scored a career-high 27 points to lead the Cougars.
Player Performances –
ND Okafor led the game in scoring with a career-high 27 points on 12-of-14 shooting.
Ace Glass had a career-high 20 points, off the bench, shooting 8-of-13.
Eemeli Yalaho had 14 points and 11 rebounds for his first career double-double.
Jerone Morton added 10 points with five assists.
Dominating the Paint – With the frontcourt tandem of Yalaho and Okafor leading the way, the Cougars outscored the Thunderbirds, 48-32, in the paint and outrebounded the T-birds, 36-26.
Turning Point – With five minutes left in the first half, the Cougs went on a 14-5 run to close out the half. Returning from the locker room, the Cougs opened the half on a 25-9 run to extend their lead to 79-51.
