PULLMAN, Wash. (Hayden Wysup) – The Washington State men's basketball lost, 81-69, to the Washington Huskies, Friday night at Beasley Coliseum, in the 301st all-time meeting between the programs.
Player Performances –
Eemeli Yalaho had a career-high with 15 points with three 3-pointers made.
Ace Glass added 12 points off the bench.
Emmanuel Ugbo had 11 points with seven rebounds, marking his fourth-consecutive game in double figures.
Inside the Stat Sheet – In the first half, the Cougars shot 33% from the field and 21% from three, but in the second half found their rhythm, shooting 53% from the field and 41% from three.
First Half Closeout – The Huskies closed out the first half on a 19-9 run to give them a 44-30 lead going into the break.
Cougars Second Half Efforts – The Cougars went on a 25-12 run after trailing by as many as 22 points to cut the Huskies' lead to nine with 1:30 left in the game.
