November 11, 2025 | Swimming
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (November 11, 2025) – Washington State senior Emily Lundgren was named the Mountain West Conference Swimmer of the Week, the conference office announced Tuesday.
Lundgren earns her first conference honor of the season after earning the same recognition twice last season en route to being named the Mountain West Conference Swimmer of the Year and picking up All-America accolades.
The senior from Chula Vista, Calif. won all four races she competed in, three as an individual one on a relay team, helping WSU to a 195-66 win over Colorado State in Pullman last Friday. Lundgren helped the 200 medley relay win while her three induvial wins in the 100 Breast, 200 Breast and 200 IM were career wins No. 49, 50 and 51, respectively, helping the Cougars improve to 3-0 in dual meets this season.
Lundgren helped the 200 medley relay to a win with a Gibb Pool-record 1:37.74, the top 200 medley relay time in the Mountain West this season. Lundgren's win in the 200 breast was her 50th career individual win while her 2:10.09 time was third-best in the conference this season and good for No. 21 nationally. Lundgren's 59.54 winning time in the 100 breast was the second-fastest 100 breast time in the conference this season and No. 15 nationally. Lundgren closed her night with a pool-record 2:00.07 to win the 200 IM, the fastest 200 IM time in the Mountain West this season.
This is the second conference honor for WSU this season after Avery Bulkley was named the Freshman Swimmer of the Week in mid-October.
The Cougars head to Iowa next week for the Hawkeye Invitational hosted by the University of Iowa Nov. 18-21.
