Dylan Boenning shot a 2-over, 74, to lead the Washington State men's golf team to a seventh-place finish Wednesday at the Blessings Collegiate Invitational, played on the par-72, 7,869-yard Blessings Golf Club.
Host Arkansas ran away with a 17-stroke win over runner-up Louisville while BYU was 31 strokes off the lead in third place.
Boenning led the team Wednesday with a birdie against three bogeys as he finished the 54-hole event at 6-over, 222, tied for 16th. Sophomore
Dylan Burcham posted a 5-over, 77, and completed his tournament at 14-over, 230, tied for 29th.
Redshirt-junior
Ben Borgida climbed two spots to finish 33rd individually at 15-over, 231, after carding his third-straight 5-over, 77. Junior
Ben Mulder finished the final round with a 9-over, 81, giving him a three-round score of +17, 233, to finished tied for 36th.
Senior
Sam Renner managed just one birdie Wednesday en route to a 7-over, 79, finished the 54-hole tournament at 19-over par, 235, tied for 43rd overall.
The Cougars are next in action Oct 20-22 at the Saint Mary's Invitational.
