PULLMAN, Wash. (Jan. 6, 2025) – The Washington State Women's Tennis team was picked third in the 2025 West Coast Conference Women's Tennis preseason poll, voted on by the conferences' nine head coaches and announced by the WCC Monday.
Led by fourth-year Head Coach
Raquel Atawo, the Cougars are in their first season competing in the WCC. Defending champion Pepperdine garnered the top spot in the preseason poll, receiving eight of the nine first-place votes, to finish ahead of San Diego, which garnered the other first-place vote. Washington State was third, followed by Loyola Marymount and St. Mary's to round out the top five.

Eva Alvarez Sande was one of six players named to the All-WCC Preseason Team.
The Cougars begin their 2025 season Saturday when they host UC Davis at 11 a.m. at Hollingbery Fieldhouse.
