STOCKTON, Calif. (Hayden Wysup) – The Washington State men's basketball team lost to Pacific, 70-68, Thursday night at the Alex G. Spanos Center.
Big Picture Washington State dropped to 15-8 and 5-5 in WCC play.
Player Performances: Dane Erikstrup led the team in scoring with 17 points with a season-high four assists and season-high four steals.
Nate Calmese added 13 points and two assists in his 70th college game.
Isaiah Watts returned after missing 10 games with a hand injury, rejoining the starting lineup. Watts scored eight points with two steals, a block and an assist.
Wire-to-Wire: The teams played a back-and-forth game that featured 11 ties and 10 lead changes with the Tigers taking the decisive lead with five seconds to play and the final made field goal.
Inside the Stat Sheet: While Wazzu found an advantage from beyond the arc, shooting 47% from three. Pacific found an advantage inside the paint, outrebounding the Cougars 34-24 and 16-8 on offensive rebounds.
Up Next: Wazzu will stay in California to take on San Francisco, Saturday at 7 p.m. in War Memorial Gym.
