PULLMAN, Wash. (Jan. 24, 2025) – Washington State University and the University of Washington have set the dates for the 2026 and 2027 Apple Cups, while the Cougars have also added a home-and-home series with the Arizona Wildcats, beginning in 2026, it was announced Friday.

The 2026 Apple Cup will be contested Sept. 5 at Husky Stadium in Seattle, while the 2027 game will be held Sept. 18 at Gesa Field in Pullman. The 2028 contest, the fifth in the five-game agreement signed in 2023, will be played at Husky Stadium though no date has been announced.

The Cougars came away with a 24-19 victory at Lumen Field in Seattle in the most recent meeting.

In addition to the Apple Cup dates being set, Washington State has signed a home-and-home agreement with the University of Arizona, beginning in 2026. The 2026 contest will be played Sept. 26, in Pullman, while the return game is set for Sept. 25, 2027, in Tucson.

The Cougars and Wildcats have met 47 times in the series history, with Arizona holding a 28-19 advantage. WSU has had the edge in recent years, posting a 6-3 record over the past nine meetings.
