Cougars Drop Game Two at San Diego State

The series wraps up Saturday.

SAN DIEGO (May 16, 2025) – Washington State dropped game two of the series at San Diego State 15-2 at Tony Gwynn Stadium Friday evening.
 
The Cougars received two hits from Luke Thiele and an RBI-double from Will Cresswell. San Diego State scored twice in the opening framed and three more in the second before plating runs in all six innings.
 
WSU opened the game with a Max Hartman single and he later moved around to third base on a failed pickoff throw but was stranded at third after three strikeouts. The Cougars threatened but left two runners on to end the second and fifth innings. The Aztecs collected 17 hits.
