Reagan Kotschau were named to the 2024 West Coast Conference Preseason Team, the conference announced Friday. Washington State was selected to finish second in the WCC behind No. 23 Santa Clara with two first-place votes.
Lynch, a sixth-year senior from Castle Rock, Colorado, earns the first conference nod of her career after picking up Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Week recognition last season. Lynch notched a brace in the win at Texas A&M and an assist in the program's first win over Portland, suffering an injury which sidelined her for the remainder of the season.
Kotschau, a returning Pac-12 All-Freshman Team selection, looks to build upon a standout freshman season with four goals and two assists out of the midfield. The Thornton, Colorado native finished No. 41 in TopDrawerSoccer's National 100 Freshmen list last season, scoring in her debut match and notching two goals in conference play.
The Washington State Cougars, led by 10th-year head coach
Todd Shulenberger, were voted to finish second in the WCC by Shulenberger's peers. The Cougs received two first-place votes.
The 2024 Cougs are scheduled to begin the season Thursday, Aug. 15 in West Lafayette, Indiana against the Purdue Boilermakers. Wazzu will kick off its home campaign the following week, welcoming Montana, Thursday, Aug. 22 at Lower Soccer Field.
