SPOKANE, Wash. (April 9, 2024) – Washington State dropped a 22-7 contest to Gonzaga at the Patterson Baseball Complex Tuesday evening.

WSU (17-14) received two hits from
Max Hartman and
Cole Cramer hit his second home run of the season. Gonzaga improved to 11-18 overall and snapped a two-game Cougar winning streak in the series after scoring 14 runs in the first inning and finished with 19 hits.

Gonzaga built a 14-0 lead with a 14-run first inning on nine hits, five walks and a pair of errors. WSU began to chip away with a six-run third inning on a Cramer solo homer to left-centerfield, a pair of bases-loaded walks, a GU error, a GU balk and

Gonzaga answered with a run in the third and six more runs on four hits in the fourth for a 21-6 lead.
