2023 Texas Relays
Walburn notched PR's in both the 100m (11.01) and 110m hurdles (15.33) on the second day of last year's Texas Relays men's decathlon, closing the meet with a lifetime-best 7,323 points and fifth-place finish.  His fifth-place finish at the Texas Relays ended the season as the 47th-best mark in the nation.

The native of Whitefish, Mont., is coming off of the best indoor season of his career in which he posted a personal-best 5,690 points to place seconds at the Ken Shannon Invitational, the second-best mark in program history behind teammate Mason Mahacek's 5,762 points at the N.M. Collegiate Classic.  The point total was good enough to land Walburn at No. 22 in the nation in the final Division I heptathlon rankings, while Mahacek finished the winter at No. 15 in the nation, earning a trip to Boston for the 2024 NCAA Indoor Championships.

Still only several weeks removed from the 2024 indoor championships, Mahacek will use another rest week this week as Walburn gets set for his first decathlon competition of the 2024 outdoor season.
