LA QUINTA, Calif. (February 21, 2024) – Washington State Men's Golf ended its final round of The Prestige with a 5-under performance, moving up to a tie for 9th at 7-under, 845 on the par-71, 7,100-yard Greg Norman Course at PGA West.
Individually, fifth year senior
Pono Yanagi scored a 4-over, 75 in the final round, and had the highest finish for the Cougs, tied for 25th at 3-under, 210.
Senior
Drayton Joseph had the best round of his collegiate career, shooting a 3-under, 68 behind six birdies to finish the tournament tied for 104th with an overall score of 11-over, 224.
Senior
Preston Bebich parred all 18 holes in the final round for an even 71. He finished tied for 35th, wrapping up at 1-under 212. Redshirt Freshman
Ben Borgida birdied his last two holes of the day to get back to an even 71 in the third round of the tournament, and finish tied for 45th at 1-over, 214.
Sophomore
Sam Renner finished strong with a 2-under, 69 final round with five birdies. He wrapped up the tournament at 3-over, 216 to a tie for 62nd.
The Cougars will next compete at the GCU Invitational on Tuesday, March 12 and Wednesday, March 13 in Phoenix, Ariz.
