PULLMAN, Wash. (December 6, 2024) – Washington State Volleyball had two earn All-Academic honors from the West Coast Conference Friday afternoon.

Emma Barbero was named to the 2024 WCC Volleyball All-Academic Team and Katy Ryan earned WCC All-Academic Honorable Mention.

Barbero has been consistent all year long in the serve and pass game as the team's libero, and ended the season among the WCC leaders in digs, ranking sixth in total digs with 430, and fifth in digs per set averaging 3.84. She also finished the season second on the team with 31 service aces and has a 0.28 aces per set average.

Ryan has led the Cougars as the top offensive weapon on the team averaging 3.34 kills and 3.80 points per set during the season, sixth and fifth highest in the conference, respectively. The Rathdrum, Idaho native capped the year hitting at a .261 clip with 374 kills, 92 total blocks, and 425.5 points, with 1,198 career kills, 351 total blocks and 1,387 career points.
