After seven kills in the first set, Katy Ryan led the offense with 13 kill on the night while hitting a career-high .722.

Emma Barbero had 13 digs, five assists and two aces, and Italia Bernal put up 16 assists and four digs.

Weronika Wojdyla finished two blocks and three kills, and Breccan Scheck tallied four kills.

After trading points early, a Brustad kill kicked off what would be an 8-1 run with three kills from Ryan and a block assist by Vrieling and Blažková to put the Cougs on top 18-11. Three Vrieling kills later, and WSU had extended the lead to 22-14 before kills from Brustad, Walz and Ryan capped the 25-22 set one win.

Early blocks from Blažková kept things even in set two before a couple of Walz aces, kills from Wojdyla and Vrieling, and a Brustad solo block gave the Cougars an 11-7 lead. Kills from Vrieling and Blažková created some separation as the lead stretched to 18-12, and then two kills each from Brustad and Ryan down the stretch wrapped up the 25-16 set two win.

In set three, WSU raced out to a 9-1 lead behind kills from Vrieling and Ryan, and a trio of Brustad aces. After a Barbero ace made it 11-2, two more Vrieling kills along with kills from Wojdyla and Brustad extended the lead to 15-6. The Cougars worked out to a 10-point advantage, 18-8 on a Walz ace and then 21-11 on Ryan's 13th kill of the night before a pair of Blažková blocks sealed the 25-15 set win, and the sweep.
