Washington State Adds Home-and-Home Football Series with Toledo

PULLMAN, Wash. (Oct. 18, 2024) -- Washington State Athletics announced Friday that it has added a two game, home-and-home series against Toledo to its 2025 and 2031 football schedules.

The first game in the series is scheduled for Oct. 25, 2025 at Gesa Field in Pullman. The Cougars will travel to Toledo to face the Rockets in the return meeting, Sept. 20, 2031. The meeting in 2025 will be the first between the two programs.

The meeting next year against Toledo will mark just the third for WSU against a Mid-American Conference foe. Previously, the Cougars faced Central Michigan in the 2021 Sun Bowl and Ball State in the 1984 regular season.

The addition of Toledo to the 2025 schedule marks the ninth announced opponent for WSU's 2025 schedule. Previously, the Cougars had announced home contests against Idaho, San Diego State, Louisiana Tech, Washington and Oregon State, while WSU will travel to Ole Miss, North Texas and Virginia.
