•      WSU beat Fresno State 25-17, improved to 5-1 for the first time since 2018
•      WSU recorded its second fourth-quarter comeback win this season (trailed San Jose State entering 4th)
•      WSU recorded its first fourth-quarter comeback win on the ROAD since 2018 at Stanford (trailed by 7 entering 4th)
•      WSU rushed for over 100 yards for the fifth time this season, had four 100-yards last season, six in 2022
•      WSU recorded a pair of sacks, matching a season-high set in the Apple Cup win
 
PLAYER NOTES
•      Christian Hilborn started at LG, his 32nd consecutive start, had started first 5 games at right tackle, 19th career start at left guard
•      Fa'alili Fa'amoe made his 1st start of the season, missed first 3 games with injury, appeared at right tackle last two games, 20th career start at right tackle
•      John Mateer carried 18 times for 46 yards and a TD, his sixth rushing TD of the season, tied for the sixth-most rushing TD by a Cougar quarterback in single-season history
•      Mateer pushed his season rushing yard total to 499, the most by a Cougar quarterback in WSU single-season history (482, Ty Paine, 1971)
•      Mateer pushes his career rushing yard total to 650, fourth-most in WSU history by a Cougar quarterback
•      Wayshawn Parker rushed 12 times for 63 yards with a long of 22, has a 20-yard carry in every game this season
•      Kyle Williams caught three passes, his 43rd consecutive game with a catch, owns a catch in all 43 career games played (1st 25 at UNLV (2020-22)
•      Kris Hutson caught a team-high six passes for 45 yards
•      Trey Leckner had a 16-yard reception, his second catch of his career (33-yard TD catch vs Portland State)
•      Carlos Hernandez made his season debut, caught one pass for nine yards
•      Ethan O'Connor recorded his third interception of the season, first career return for a touchdown, second by a Coug this season (Stephen Hall, 100 yards, Portland State)
•      Tyson Durant picked off a pass for the second straight game, second this season, seventh of his career
•      Khalil Laufau recorded his second sack of the season
•      Keith Brown recorded his first sack of the season, second of his career, had one for Oregon in 2022, made career-high 1.5 tackles-for-loss
•      Jamorri Colson made his season debut, made two tackles
•      Dean Janikowski tallied seven points to push his career point total to 275, passing Andrew Furner for fourth-most in WSU history
•      Janikowski made two field goals (34, 23) to push his career total 42, sixth-most in WSU history
•      Janikowski made one extra point to push his career PAT total to 148, 2nd-most in WSU history
