Cougars Continue Early Season Play at The Molly

PULLMAN, Wash. (Sept. 24, 2023) – The Washington State women's golf team continues its early-season schedule when it heads to the Monterey Peninsula to compete in The Molly Collegiate Invitational, Sept. 25-26, host by the University of California.

The Course and Tournament Format
The 2023 Molly Collegiate Invitational will be held at Bayonet Golf Course in Seaside, Calif. The course will play as a par-72 at 6,147 yards.

Teams will play 36 holes on Monday, Sept. 25 and conclude Tuesday with a final 18 holes.

In addition to Washington State and host California, the field includes Delaware, Georgia Southern, Kansas, Maryland, Oregon, Oregon State, Rutgers, Santa Clara, UC Irvine and UNLV.

Graduate student Danielle Suh shot a final-round 69 to help Washington State move up the leaderboard and finish eighth in the 19-team field at the Leadership and Golf Invitational at Chambers Bay Golf Course in University Place, Wash. Junior Madelyn Gamble led WSU over the 54 holes as she ended her three rounds at even-par, 216, tied for 10th overall.

Head Coach Sofie Aagaard begins her second season leading the Cougars. The 2023-24 Cougar squad returns four members from last season, including junior Madelyn Gamble, who ended last season with a third-place finish at the 2023 Pac-12 Golf Championships.
