LA QUINTA, Calif. – The Washington State men's golf team heads back to the mainland of the United State to participate in The Prestige, hosted by UC Davis. The tournament opens Monday, Feb. 20, at the PGA West-Norman Course, and runs through Wednesday, Feb. 22.
The Course and Tournament Format
The Prestige will take place over three days at the PGA West-Norman Course, located in La Quinta, California. It is a 7,100-yard course that plays as a par 71. Teams will play one 18-hole round per day. Washington State will tee off at 11:55 a.m. PT. Tee times for the second and third rounds of The Prestige will be determined at the end of each of the first two rounds.

Franklin Lydra will represent Washington State in The Prestige Individual Tournament, which is being played at The Golf Club at Terra Lago.
The Field
The Prestige will bring several of the country's top teams to La Quinta. A total of 24 teams will be playing in The Prestige, including 13 ranked teams. Along with host UC Davis, Washington State will take on No. 2 Auburn, No. 3 Texas Tech, No. 6, Stanford, No. 14, Pepperdine, No. 23 Colorado State, No. 27 LSU, No. 29 Washington, No. 30 Baylor, No. 34 Northwestern, No. 37 Liberty, No. 41, TCU, No. 43 Louisville, No. 48 Kansas, Cal Poly, Charlotte, Creighton, Iowa State, LMU, North Texas, Nebraska, Oregon State, Princeton, San Diego, San Francisco, and Wyoming,

Sophomore Peter Jung fired a closing-round 68 to lead four Washington State players under par during the final round of play at the 2023 John Burns Intercollegiate Friday on the 6,905-yard Ocean Course at Hokuala. The Cougars finished the third round with their best 18-hole score of the tournament, posting a 9-under par, 279, to finish tied for 15th in their spring season debut.
