Jaylen Wells Double-Double Leads WSU to 86-49 Victory

PULLMAN, Wash. - Jaylen Wells led the way off the bench for Washington State, scoring 18 points and grabbing 10 rebounds in Washington State's 86-49 victory over UC Riverside, Wednesday night. Washington State improved to 7-1, continuing a 5-game winning streak. UC Riverside drops to 4-6.

PULLMAN, Wash. - Jaylen Wells led the way off the bench for Washington State, scoring 18 points and grabbing 10 rebounds in Washington State's 86-49 victory over UC Riverside, Wednesday night. Washington State improved to 7-1, continuing a 5-game winning streak. UC Riverside drops to 4-6. 

Washington State took an early lead, scoring eight unanswered points in the first three minutes. The scoring barrage continued for Washington State as they outscored UC riverside 37-7 in the first 14 minutes.  
UC Riverside would rally in the last five minutes outscoring Washington State 15-9 fueled by multiple 3-pointers by Issiah Moses.

Washington States defense held UC Riverside to just 22 points in the first half, a season best for Washington States defense. Washington State also scored a season-high 46 first-half points. 

Washington State continued to dominate the game in the second half. Rueben Chinyelu scored with 13:18 left in the second half to start a 13-0 scoring run for Washington State. 

With 4:38 left in the second half, Isiah Watts found Issac Jones with a no-look pass in transition to extend Washington State's lead to 79-39 and give them their biggest lead of the game. 

Washington State stays undefeated at home and looks to take on Grambling State on Sunday.
