BOULDER, Colo. — Pia Timmer had a team-high 15 kills,
Iman Isanovic tallied another 12 kills, and No. 11 Washington State (21-7, 11-6 Pac-12) swept Colorado (14-14, 6-11 Pac-12) Friday night at the CU Events Center.
Magda Jehlárová finished with three blocks on the night to go along with her 10 kills, while setter
Argentina Ung collected five kills with zero errors to go along with a team-leading four blocks. Ung kept the Buffs guessing all night, dishing out 44 assists on a night in which six different Cougs tallied five or more kills. Timmer (.333) and Jehlárová (.412) each finished the night with double digit kills and a hitting percentage over .300.
With the win, Washington State has now won nine of the last ten matches against the Buffaloes including a season sweep, taking care of both matches this season in straight sets.
Washington State opened up the match with 10 kills on its first 10 swings on the night, taking a 14-8 lead out of the gates. The Cougars later went on a 5-1 run to push its lead to eight at 18-10 and eventually won the first set, 25-18. The Cougs carried that momentum into the second set as they won nine of the first 11 points to force an early timeout.
Colorado shifted things back in its favor in the third game and led by five midway through the set at 16-11. The Cougars woke up with back-to-back kills out of a timeout to get back within three at 16-13. Washington State later reeled off seven points in a row to force a Colorado timeout with the Cougars ahead, 21-19. The Buffaloes responded with a 3-0 run to even things at 22-22, but Timmer's 15th kill of the night sparked 3-0 run for Washington State to close out its 13th sweep of the season.

Washington State will head across the Rockies to Salt Lake City as the Cougars get set to play Utah on Sunday at 11 a.m. on Pac-12 Mountain. WSU will face a quick turnaround as it gets set to host its home finale against Arizona State in Bohler Gym on Wednesday starting at noon on Pac-12 Network.
