EUGENE, Ore. – Washington State University won five of six singles matches during the final day of play at the 2023 Duck Invitational Sunday at the Oregon Student Tennis Center.
In the tournament's hidden dual format, where singles and doubles are played against different teams, the Cougars faced Portland State in singles only with all doubles matches being concluded on the first two days.
WSU captured five of the six singles matches, all coming in straight sets. For the tournament,
Hania Abouelsaad,
Fifa Kumhom and
Stefaniia Mikhailova all went 3-0 in singles play.
The Cougars are next in action at the 2023 ITA Northwest Regionals, Oct 12 at Stanford, Calif.
