EARLYSVILLE, Va. / LEWISTON, Idaho — Washington State's men's and women's cross country teams continued their respective fall seasons Saturday at the 2023 NCAA Pre-Nationals from Panorama Farms just outside of Charlottesville, Va., as well as the LC State Invitational from the LC State XC Trail in Lewiston.
Washington State's women's team returned to full strength for the first time this fall Saturday at the NCAA Pre-Nationals hosted by Virgina.
Alaina Stone Boggs returned to the lineup and added to the Cougs' team scoring total with a 21:45.4 in her first 6k of the season.
Neema Kimtai led the way in the women's blue 6k field for WSU, placing 25th overall in 20:24.3.
Cristina Molteni (20:54.4),
Caroline Jerotich (20:59.3), and
Nicole Bissell (21:40.6), also scored for the Cougars on a rainy morning from Panorama Farms.
Brian Barsaiya led the way for the Cougar men with a 17th-place finish in the NCAA Pre-Nationals men's blue 8k field at 23:36.6. Teammates
Kelvin Limo (24:07.2),
Kyle Ortega-Gammill (24:30.6),
Leif Swanson (24:41.3), and
Micah Galeana (25:25.3) followed to give the WSU men's team an 18th overall finish in the team scoring of the men's championship race.

Washington State men's and women's cross country teams will now turn its attention to postseason as the Cougars travel to University Place, Wash., to compete in the 2023 Pac-12 Championships on Fri., Oct. 27.
