PULLMAN – Washington State women's volleyball announced Thursday its regular season schedule for the Fall 2022 season. The Cougars will have a total of 14 matches broadcast on the Pac-12 Networks and open the fall campaign with a trio of non-conference matches in Provo, Utah on Aug. 26-27.
As the Cougs begin their run at an unprecedented seventh-consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance, they will see a total of four non-conference teams that also made tournament appearances in 2021 including a pair of programs that finished last season in the AVCA Top-10 in seventh-ranked Minnesota (Sept. 17) and ninth-ranked BYU (Aug. 27).
Washington State will welcome fans back into Bohler Gymnasium with its home-opening weekend in the annual Cougar Challenge on Sept. 1-3. WSU's non-conference schedule will also include trips to play road tournaments at BYU (Aug. 26-27), Fairfield (Sept. 9-10) and Minnesota (Sept. 16-17).
The road to a seventh-straight NCAA postseason will also include a Pac-12 schedule consisting of five tournament teams from a season ago, four of which finished in the final AVCA Top-25 last December (No. 24 Oregon, No. 18 Utah, No. 13 UCLA and No. 12 Washington).
Last season's Pac-12 Co-Coach of the Year, Jen Greeny, will welcome back a talented and experienced roster that is highlighted by two-time All-American middle Magda Jehlarova and All-American outside
Pia Timmer in addition to rising sophomore
Katy Ryan who was named Pac-12 All-Freshman a season ago.
