OPENING FIVE
> The Cougs look for a perfect weekend against the Mountain Schools as they host Colorado Sunday with the Buffs coming off a loss at UW Thursday. The Buffs have won the last three all-time in the series including a tight 83-78 win in Boulder earlier in the month to begin the calendar year.
> Andrej Jakimovski continues his blistering play on the wing scoring 15&8 in the win over Utah in his first start of the season. He enters the game 3rd in three-point% in the Pac-12 having hit 44.2% (23-of-52) his shots from deep on the year.

> The Cougs defense continues to be among the elite ranking 27th in defensive rating at 93.5 per 100. WSU has allowed opponents to shoot and effective FG% of just 45.6% (29th in the country).
> WSU's NET rose to 51 after Wednesday night. The Cougs posted an all-time high of 37 earlier in December.

GAME INFORMATION - vs COLORADO
The Cougs look to hold serve against the Buffs Sunday night as WSU attempts to stop a three-game skid against Colorado while rebounding from an 83-78 loss in Boulder in early January. In the game on the road the Cougs were without Noah Williams due to illness, however, Efe Abogidi went for 16&10 whlie Ty Roberts drilled a career-high 25 points in the loss. The Cougs did not have an answer for the inside tandem of Evan Battey (20 points) and Jabari Walker (16&8) as the Buffs held off the rally late by WSU.
Colorado enters the game playing its third of the week after the high of besting Oregon in Eugene on Tuesday only to fall to Washington in Seattle Thursday.

NEXT UP
The Cougs hit the road for the first time in a month as the team heads to the Bay Area for part two of their season series with Stanford and Cal. First up the Cougs look for revenge against the Cardinal after dropping a tough one at home to Stanford Jan. 13, 62-57. Playing shorthanded the Cougs built a double-digit lead only to let it slip away before a furious late rally fell just short in the end. In the loss freshman Mouhamed Gueye was at his best pulling down his first career Pac-12 double-double with 16 points and 11 rebounds.

LAST TIME OUT - vs UTAH
WSU 65 - WSU 57 | Jan. 15, 2022 | PULLMAN, WASH.
A 22-3 run to start the second half turned the game from a close one into a runaway win for the Cougs as WSU swept the season series with the Utes for the first time in program history. Early on it was Andrej Jakimovski doing the heavy lifting to build the early lead while in the second half it was all Tyrell Roberts as the junior scored 11 of his 15 second half points in the first seven minutes of the second half as the lead swelled to 20. The 17-point win marked the largest margin of victory for the Cougs all-time against Utah.
