STANFORD, Calif. – The Washington State men's golf team concluded The Goodwin at the Stanford Golf Course in a tie for 13th on the team leaderboard, as the Cougars finished the tournament shooting 864 (+24).
WSU finished its stay at The Goodwin by carding six-over-par; 286 in the tournament's third round on Saturday, March 27. The Cougars' third-round performance helped them move up two spots on the team leaderboard, as WSU ended the 28-team tournament in a tie with Southern Cal for 13th.
"I'm really proud of how the team handled themselves this week," said head coach Dustin White. "They played nice early on, then stumbled a bit in the second round. But they responded and played hard until the last putt fell today. This was a good field on an equally-good golf course. Everyone (on the team) contributed and there were some really solid rounds throughout our lineup. This (performance) should give the guys a boost heading into April, and the Pac-12 Championships."
