SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. – The Washington State women's golf team concluded the Sun Devil Winter Classic in a tie for ninth place, as the Cougars finished their second tournament of the spring with a score of 910 (+46).
Fifth-year senior Marie Lund-Hansen rounded out the Sun Devil Winter Classic in a tie for 11th on the player leaderboard. The Aabenraa, Denmark native carded one-over par for the third-straight round on Wednesday, Feb. 17, at the Talking Stick Golf Club. Lund-Hansen concluded the tournament with a score of 219 (+3).
As a team, Washington State shot 307 (+19) in third round to finish the Sun Devil Winter Classic in a tie with California for ninth on the player leaderboard.
Sophomore Jiye Ham ended her week inside the top-30, as she carded 225 (+9) to finish in a tie for 28th. Junior Amy Chu finished 10-strokes behind Ham, as the Australian native shot 19-over; 235. Junior Cameron March finished the Sun Devil Winter Classic carding 79 (+7) for the second-consecutive round.
Southern California collected the team championship at the inaugural Sun Devil Winter Classic. The Trojans shot six-under par; 858 to claim the tournament's team title. Arizona State's Linn Grant won the individual title, shooting 207 (-9) for the host Sun Devils.
The Washington State women's golf team returns to action March 1-3 to participate in the Bruin-Wave Invitational. The three-day tournament will take place at the Saticoy Golf Club in Oxnard, California.
