Ron Stone Jr., known as RJ, has always enjoyed competition, whether it be football or a friendly bowling game with friends.
Stone Jr. plays football at Washington State University as a rush linebacker and is majoring in broadcast news in the Edward R. Murrow College of Communication. His career goal is to make it to the NFL and afterward, use his college degree to become a sports broadcaster.
His favorite hobbies are bowling, video games and playing board games. He's bowled for a long time and continues to enjoy the hobby while living in Pullman. He and some of his close friends are hoping to make bowling shirts for fun.
Stone's favorite memory of growing up is of his family's Stone Olympics, a friendly competition among his siblings.
"Like we did push-ups, sit-ups, planks, a bunch of different exercises and whoever did the most at the end won Stone Olympics," Stone said.
Competition and teamwork have always been present in Stone's life.Â
His enthusiasm for board games goes back to a family tradition that he likes to continue with his teammates in Pullman. Stone's family has competitive game nights. It was something special throughout his childhood that included not only his family, but also close family friends. He still looks forward to game nights.
"It is kind of like a good time to hang out with them and catch up and see what I missed," Stone said.Â
