PULLMAN, Wash. – Washington State Director of Athletics Pat Chun announced the addition of Randy Logan to the Cougars' Athletic Training staff as the Head Football Athletic Trainer Thursday afternoon.

"I am both extremely excited and grateful for the opportunity to join the Athletic Medicine Department here at Washington State," said Logan. "I look forward to contributing to the success of our football student-athletes through the delivery of high quality healthcare. The tradition and foundation that has been established here is strong, and I could not ask for a better situation to step into."

Logan joins the Cougar staff after spending over six years as an Associate Head Trainer at Portland State University. He overall saw the football program during his time with the Vikings, along with leading a football athletic training staff of two professionals, and supervise scheduling of an eight-person athletic training staff as well. Randy is a certified athletic trainer through the National Athletic Trainers' Association Board of Certification (NATABOC).

Prior to Portland State, Randy spent five years at Assumption College, located at Worcester, Mass., where he was the Assistant Director of Athletics. During his time working with Assumption, he supervised a staff of three athletic trainers, who covered over 500 student-athletes. Logan also oversaw and managed the operating budget for the sports medicine department, and served as the athletic department representative at weekly Dean's Council meetings.

Randy received his bachelor's degree in athletic training from Eastern Washington University in 2006, and later earned his master's degree in kinesiology from the University of Texas at El Paso in 2008.
