SEATTLE – The Washington State University Track and Field program earned five individual victories at the UW Last Chance Elite Friday afternoon inside the Dempsey Indoor.Â
Emily Coombs took home first place in the pole vault, after winning a jump off, ultimately clearing a height of 12-feet 10 1/4 inches (3.92m). Fellow Coug
Luzia Herzig placed third behind Coombs in the pole vault as well.
Jordyn Tucker picked up the victory in the 60-meter dash, posting a time of 7.49 seconds overall.
Zorana Grujic posted the second best all-time mark in the mile event in WSU history at 4:43.91, taking fourth overall as well.
Faimalie Sale turned in a second place overall performance in the weight throw, with a mark of 58-feet 7-inches (17.86m).
Ja'Maun Charles placed first overall in the 60-meter dash with a PR of 6.73, and moved Charles up to eighth all-time in the event in Washington State history as well. Ja'Maun also went on to claim first place in the 200-meter dash with an overall time of 21.64 seconds.
Nick Johnson continued the WSU winning ways, placing first in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 8.17.
Colton Johnsen led the way for the Cougars in the mile, as he posted a PR of 4:00.63 overall, placing fourth as well.
Zach Stallings was not far behind Johnsen, as Stallings placed fifth with a PR of 4:02.96.

Washington State will now look ahead to the Mountain Pacific Sport Federation (MPSF) Indoor Championships next week, beginning Friday, Feb. 28, and will travel back to Seattle to compete inside the Dempsey Indoor once again.
