MOSCOW, Idaho – The Washington State University Track and Field program saw multiple wins throughout the day as the Cougars competed inside the Kibbie Dome at the Idaho Open.
Faimalie Sale led WSU in the weight throw as the redshirt freshman posted a PR of 56-feet 4 inches (17.19m) on the day, finishing second overall in the event. Sale's throw also sees her at ninth all-time in Washington State history in the event as well.
Skyler Walton posted a win for the Cougars in the 60-meter dash, with a PR of 7.72 overall.
Samantha King-Shaw picked up the victory in the 3000-meter race as she posted an overall time of 10:32.98 to lead the Cougs.
Pia Richards turned in a fourth place finish in the 3000m at 10:48.46, and fellow Cougar
Samantha Boyle went on to place 10th overall at 11:03.48 as well.
Aislinn Overby took home first place in the high jump for WSU, posting a mark of 5-feet 5 3/4 inches (1.67m) to earn yet another win for the Cougars on the day.
Daylon Hicks took home first place in the high jump, with a PR mark of 6-feet 7-inches (2.01m). Fellow Cougars
Taino Ferdinand and
Beau Sheeran each placed third in the high jump behind Hicks with a mark of 6-feet 5-inches (1.96m) as well.
Dillon Lionello turned in a solid performance in the shot put with a PR of 55-feet (16.76m) to take third overall.
Troy Gingerich also notched a third place finish during the meet in the pole vault as he posted a mark of 15-feet 1-inch (4.60m).
