NATIONAL RANKINGS
Washington State currently sits at No. 31 (60 points) overall in the nation in the latest American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) poll after two weeks of action. The RichKern Poll slates WSU at No. 29 overall, just behind Tennessee. The 5-1 overall start to 2019 was noticed by the Pablo Rankings however, seeing the Cougars ranked No. 12 overall heading into the first home contest of the 2019 season this weekend.

ALL-TOURNAMENT TEAM
Redshirt sophomore Charity Bradley make a huge impression last weekend at the Portland Invite, earning Tournament MVP honors after helping lead the WSU offensive through three matches. Bradley finished with 31 total kills, and eight blocks in the three victories. Senior Jocelyn Urias and redshirt freshman Hannah Pukis also received all-tournament team honors after aiding in the winning effort throughout the weekend as well.

HOME SWEET HOME
Washington State is 14-0  in home openers over the past 14 seasons dating back to 2004. WSU fell to Colorado State inside Bohler Gym in 2003, and have not dropped a home opening match since. The Cougars have dominated for over a decade in home openers, especially in the Cougar Challenge, using the full effect of home court advantage from Bohler Gym to come away with the victory.
