PULLMAN, Wash. – The Washington State men's golf team will travel to at least six different states as part of its 2019-20 tournament schedule, WSU head coach
Dustin White announced Thursday.
"We're excited to bring everyone together and get started," White said. "A new season brings new opportunities and we feel this group will relish the chance to go out and compete. There's a mix of youth and experience on our roster, and we look forward to seeing them work together to advance the vision we have for the program. We have a great schedule set up for the fall and believe our guys will go out and have some success together."
The Cougars will open the season at the Husky Invitational at Gold Mountain Golf Club, Sept. 16-17 at Sammamish, Wash. With just one tournament in September, the Cougars play three weeks in October. First up, WSU travels across the country to Bridgeport, W.Va., for the Healthplan Mountaineer Invitational, Oct. 7-8 at Pete Dye Golf Club.
A week later, WSU travels to Corvallis, Ore., for the Oregon State Invitational at Trysting Tree Golf Club, Oct. 14-15. For its final tournament of October and the fall, Washington State will head to Stockton, Calif., for the Visit Stockton Pacific Invitational, Oct. 21-23, at The Reserve at Spanos Park.
The spring portion of the season opens up in January of 2020 as the Cougars head to Tucson, Ariz. For the Arizona Intercollegiate held at Sewalio Golf Club, Jan. 27-28. Once again WSU will travel to Hawaii for the John Burns Intercollegiate at Wailua Golf Course at Lihue, Hawaii, Feb. 20-22.
First up in March is the Bandon Dunes Championship hosted by Gonzaga at Bandon, Ore. The tournament will take place at Pacific Dunes Course at Bandon Dunes Golf Resort, March 8-10. WSU closes the month at Palo Alto, Calif. For the The Goodwin hosted by Stanford at the university golf course, March 26-28.
The Cougars will warm up for the Pac-12 Championships at Iowa City, Iowa for the Hawkeye Invitational held at Finkbine Golf Course, April 18-19, 2020. The month ends with the Pac-12 Championships hosted by Washington at Seattle Golf Club.
The NCAA Golf Regionals will take place May 18-20 at various sites, followed by the NCAA Championships, May 25-30 at Grayhawk Golf Club at Scottsdale, Ariz.
