Â
- What has been the best part about playing at Washington State?
Probably being a part of a Pac-12 school. It was always my dream to play baseball for a division one school and being here I am finally able to do it.
Â
- How do you juggle being an outfielder as well as a pitcher?
It's pretty tough, I mean I also get to hit so I have find time to works on that too. I also have to work out and then move on to do my pitching stuff so I am busy every day, all the time. Â I have to keep my body healthy to be able to do all three things.
Â
- What would you say is the difference between being a starter and reliever?
I feel like when you are starting the game you have a fresh start, nobody is on base you do not have any problems. When you are a reliever though you are coming into the game when the team needs you. When there are runners on base, you have to try to not let them score.
Â
- What is the hardest part about being a reliever?
Throwing strikes would probably be the hardest part. With being in a tough situation you need to be throwing strikes to get people out and not walk anybody.
Â
- What is your favorite pitch to throw?
My favorite pitch to throw would probably be my curveball. With that pitch I usually can get a lot of people out.
Â
- Who do you play catch with the most on the team?
I would say
Owen Leonard is the person I play catch with the most, he is one of my good friends. Also he throws the ball to me at my chest every time so I do not have to go and chase the ball!
Â
- What would you say is your favorite part about playing baseball?
The atmosphere of playing in front of people. Hitting the ball is really fun and pitching is pretty fun as well. But playing in front of people is one thing that I love.
Â
- What is your game day routine?
I personally do not have a specific game day routine I kind of just go out there and play.Â
Â
- What is the MLB team that would want to get drafted to if you got the chance?
It would probably be the New York Yankees. It is my favorite team so getting drafted by them would be cool.
Â
- The game against Oregon State you threw for 6.2 innings, which was pretty impressive how were you feeling while on the mound during that game?
I felt really good, I usually do not throw that much I only go about three innings maybe. So going that many innings was not tough but I really liked it. I had the job of keeping us in the game.
