EUGENE, Ore. –Washington State men's golf is in 12th at the conclusion of the first two rounds of the Pac-12 Championships hosted by Oregon, Monday.
Through the first two rounds, the Cougars have a score of 757 (+47). No. 17 Stanford and No. 32 UCLA (-5, 705) lead the tournament through the second round, just two strokes ahead of No. 12 California (-3, 707) in third.
"We made some big numbers and were playing from behind early in the day," head coach
Dustin White said. "We need to capitalize more on our good shots and narrow the misses."
There are five other ranked teams in the Pac-12. No. 6 USC (+3, 713) is in fourth. No. 39 Oregon (+7, 717) is tied for sixth. No. 2 Arizona State (+13, 723) sits in eighth, while No. 44 Arizona (+21, 731) and No. 50 Oregon State (+26, 736) round off the ranked teams in 10th and 11th respectively.
Junior
Daniel Kolar leads the Cougars in a tie for 26th, after carding a 144 (+2) through the first two rounds. Junior
Scott Redelsperger (+6, 148) is in a tie for 49th. Junior

Grant Cole are tied for 66th, both with scores of 155 (+13). Senior
AJ Armstrong (+17, 159) has sole possession of 70th, and sophomore
Ryan Maine (+19, 161) sits in 72nd.
Kyler Dunkle of Utah and No. 4 Justin Suh of USC are tied for first in the tournament with scores of 134 (-8). Just two strokes behind is Cole Madey (-6, 136) of UCLA in third.
"We're only halfway there, so a lot can be done over the next 36 holes," White said.
The Pac-12 Championships will continue Tuesday, with the third round teeing off at 10 a.m. The Cougars will tee off at 11:06 from the 10th hole. Live results will be posted at golfstat.com. Full recaps of the day's events will be posted at wsucougars.com at the conclusion of competition.
