Cougs in Vegas for the Pac-12 Tournament

OPENING FIVE
> As the No. 10 seed in 2019 Pac-12 Women's Basketball Tournament the Cougs will face off against No. 7 Cal (18-11), Thursday in the third meeting between the two teams in the conference tournament. It is the second-straight season the Cougs have been the No. 10 seed in the tournament.
> WSU finished the regular season 9-20 overall and 4-14 in Pac-12 play.
> Borislava Hristova earned her second-straight All-Pac-12 Team award after finishing the regular season 3rd in the conference in scoring at 20.2 ppg.
> Chanelle Molina earned HM All-Pac-12 and All-Defense for her all-around excellence during the season. She finished with 12th in scoring (15.7), 5th in assists (5.2), all while grabbing a career-best rebounds (5.6) and steals (1.7).
> Alexys Swedlund, one of just three players in program history to eclipse 1000 min coming into the season, is 28 min shy of 1,000 on the year. She will likely become the first Cougar to ever play multiple 1000 min seasons late in Thursday's game. In addition, Swedlund has played in 3,021 career minutes, the 9th most in program history.

GAME INFORMATION - VS CAL
The Cougs get an immediate rematch with the Golden Bears in the Pac-12 Tournament after finishing the regular season against Cal. Cal has won four-straight against the Cougars, sweeping the season series in each of the last two years. The Bears won the first meeting, 77-63, and the second, 80-58, to close out the year. In two matchups, all-american Kristine Anigwe has posted 61 points and 53 rebounds including a 32 pt, 30 rebound effort Sunday in Pullman. The 30/30 game was the first in D1 women's basketball in 17 years while the 30 rebounds tied the Pac-12 single game record. In the two losses, Borislava Hristova has averaged 21.0 points per game.t.

WSU AT THE PAC-12 TOURNAMENT
As the No. 10 seed in 2019 Pac-12 Women's Basketball Tournament the Cougs will face off against No. 7 Cal (18-11), Thursday in the third meeting between the two teams in the conference tournament. It is the second-straight season the Cougs have been the No. 10 seed in the tournament.
The Cougs are 1-2 against the Bears at the Pac-12 Tournament, however the last time the two squared off, March 7, 2014, the Cougs came away with the 91-83 win as the 7 seed knocking off the 2 seed in the Quarterfinals.
Prior to the win, the Bears won 70-53, Mar. 4, 2005 (8/9 seed), and 64-49, Mar. 9, 2012 (2/11 seed, quarterfinals)
WSU has advanced out of the tournament's first round five times, the last coming in 2016-17 season as the No. 7 seed with a 79-78 win over No. 10 Colorado.
Last season the Cougs fell to USC, 47-44, in the first round at the No. 10 seed.

HRISTOVA/MOLINA EARN ALL-PAC-12 HONORS
The duo of Borislava Hristova (First Team) and Chanelle Molina (Honorable Mention/HM All-Defensive) took home all-conference honors Tuesday as voted on by the conference coaches. Hristova earned her third career award and second-straight full team honor after finishing the season 3rd in the Pac-12 in scoring. Molina grabbed her second career award after all-freshman honors two seasons ago.
