COUGARS SET TO BEGIN 2019 OUTDOOR SEASON
>> The Washington State Track and Field program will begin the 2019 outdoor season on the road as they head out to Los Angeles to compete in the USC Trojan Invitational. The meet will take place Friday, and Saturday, March 15 through March 16 inside Loker Stadium.Â
T&F WRAPS UP INDOOR SEASON AT NCAA CHAMPIONSHIPS

Emmanuel Wells Jr. ran in the 60m dash in the preliminary round where he posted a time of 6.67 overall. Wells finished 15th in the event after the completion of all heats at the indoor championships as well. He originally punched his ticket to the indoor championships after running a 6.53 at the Don Kirby Elite in New Mexico, a mark that put Wells at the very top of the WSU all-time list in the 60m dash. Emmanuel will now look towards the outdoor season which will begin next week, as he looks to make a return to competing for an NCAA championship later this spring.Â

Paul Ryan turned in a time of 4:12.07 in the mile event in the preliminary round, placing him 16th overall after all heats had been completed. Ryan secured his spot in the indoor championships after running a 3:58.79 at the Last Chance Elite in Seattle, a mark which also moved him up to fourth all-time in WSU history in the mile event. The junior will now set his sight on the outdoor season for WSU, which will begin next week as the Cougars head to Los Angles, as he looks to returning to the national stage of competition in May.Â
WSU PREPPED FOR BIG OUTDOOR SEASON
>> Washington State Track and Field returns numerous athletes who made a large impact during the outdoor season a year ago, as the Cougars see 30 total student-athletes who competed at the Pac-12 Championships in 2018. The WSU women's squad includes
