In three seasons, Hristova has etched her name among the all-time greats at WSU as she ranks third in all-time scoring having amassed 1,663 total points while her 561 points this season ranks as the sixth most in a single season.

Hirstova could not attend the award ceremony, Monday in Sofia, Bulgaria, but did say over video, "Thanks to the people who voted for me and supported me, it is an exceptional honor and pride for me. I want to wish the people in Bulgarian basketball to continue to work hard, pursue and not to give up because I believe there is still hope for the Bulgarian basketball. I'm sorry I cannot attend, but I hope this event is a huge celebration for basketball."
