SEATTLE – The Washington State University Track and Field program saw multiple strong finishes through the weekend, most notably from Jordyn Tucker, and Paul Ryan who each posted top ten all-time WSU marks at the indoor conference meet.Â

Tucker not only improved her standing in the all-time Washington State 60m dash top ten ranks, but set the WSU indoor record in the event as well with a 7.44 overall. Jordyn also improves to third best all-time for the Cougars. Aoife Martin provided a stellar weekend as well with an eighth place finish in the weight throw at 58-feet 8 1/2 inches (17.89m), which also moved her up the all-time Cougar list to sixth in the event. WSU saw an additional top ten finish in the distance medley from the team of Natalie Ackerley, Zorana Grujic, Kaili Keefe, and Jelena Grujic, placing sixth overall and posting a top ten all-time finish in Washington State history at 11:24.54.Â
Washington State on the men's side the Cougars were anchored by Paul Ryan in the mile event as Ryan finished third overall at 3:58.79. Paul's mark also moved him up to fourth all-time in WSU history in the mile as well. The Cougars saw several top five finishes from the men at the MPSF Indoor Championships including third in the 60m dash from Emmanuel Wells Jr. (6.65), third in the 60m hurdles from Sam Brixey (7.96), fifth in the 400m from Jake Ulrich (47.04), and fifth in the high jump from Peyton Fredrickson at 6-feet 11 3/4 inches (2.13m).

The Cougars will return to indoor action next, Friday through Saturday, March 8-9, at the NCAA Indoor Championships. Athletes that qualify will head to Birmingham, Ala. to compete against other top qualifiers from around the nation to cap off the overall indoor season.
