WSU PREPPED FOR MPSF CHAMPIONSHIPS
>> Washington State Track and Field returns to Seattle once again this weekend as the Cougars will compete at the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Indoor Championships, Friday through Saturday, Feb. 22-23. WSU will look to gear up at the MPSF Championships, looking towards the NCAA Indoor Championships during early March.
COUGS SEE DISTANCE SHINE AT LAST CHANCE ELITE
>> The Cougars were anchored by
Kaili Keefe and
Emma Jenkins who both posted top ten Washington State Track and Field marks in the mile event. Keefe ran a PR of 4:46.21 for third best, while Jenkins finished with a PR of 4:49.67 for fifth all-time as well. The 800m race saw
Natalie Ackerley leading the way for WSU, placing 10th overall at 2:10.26.
>> Washington State on the men's side saw incredible success in the mile as
Paul Ryan placed first overall with a PR of 4:02.43 in the event. Multiple top ten finishes followed in the mile from
Zach Stallings in sixth at 4:07.43, and
Justin Janke placed 10th overall at 4:10.35.
Amir Ado recorded a third place finish in the 3000m at 8:20.85, and
Noah Wallace posted a PR in the 800m at 1:54.71 as well.
