Lisa Hart announced Tuesday that Hania Abouelsaad has signed a National Letter of Intent and is expected to join the Cougar Tennis program in the fall of 2020.
"We are thrilled about the addition of Hania to our team," said Hart. "Hania is extremely talented on the court and we expect she will make an immediate impact and continue to develop throughout her time at WSU. She is very driven, very charismatic, is a natural leader and her positivity is infectious. Coach Huynh and I are thrilled that she will be a at Washington State for her collegiate career!"

Abouelsaad, a native of Alexandria, Egypt, has been one of the top juniors in Egypt over the past few years and has a career-best 10.9 UTR. In 2019, she has reached the quarterfinals in four of her last five tournaments, capturing the J5 Cairo title last month, her fourth career International Tennis Federation junior title. She has reached an ITF Junior career-high of 169 in 2018 and is ranked among the top juniors in Egypt.
