Washington State Rides The Victory Wave Into Houston

HOUSTON, Texas – Washington State will travel to Texas to compete in the seasonal Houston Invite to take on nine other teams. The invitational will span over three days, Thursday, Friday and Saturday with prelims and finals happening each day.
 
ON DECK
Washington State won't be back in action until they compete in the U.S Open December fourth-seventh in Atlanta, Ga.  

ON THE OPPONENTS
At the invitational there will be nine other schools competing alongside WSU. The list includes University of Houston, University of Nevada, who they have already competed against at the start of the season, UC Davis, Rice University, Air Force, Tulane University, Colorado State University, who is their latest opponent, Florida Gulf Coast University, and University of Northern Colorado.
 
LAST TIME IN THE POOL
The Cougars did not hold back in the double dual meet in Laramie, Wyo. WSU placed first in nine events during the final to beat Wyoming and Colorado State. Both relay teams for the 400-medley relay and the 200 free relay added to point tally with first place wins and many individual swimmers winning their races in between the relays. The long-distance swimmers, Ryan Falk and Michee van Rooyen, contributed to the point total with a one, two finish in the 500 free. The next races following the 500 free equaled success for Washington State coming in the form of wins from Chloe Larson, Lauren Burckel, Taylor McCoy, and Keiana Fountaine.
