WSU HEADED TO NUTTYCOMBE AND SASQUATCH INVITES
The Washington State women's and men's cross country programs set their sites on the Nuttycombe Wisconsin Invitational, and the Sasquatch Invite this Friday, Oct. 18. The Cougars will be sending multiple squads out to compete as both a men's and women's team will travel to Madison, Wis. to run at the Zimmer Championship Course, while another combination of men's and women's runners for Washington State will travel to Spokane, Wash. to run at the Downriver Golf Course. The Cougars will use these two events to prepare for the Pac-12 Championships, which will be held Nov. 1, at Monmouth, Oregon, and will be ran at the Ash Creek Preserve course.Â

COUGARS IN THE RANKINGS
The Washington State men's squad enters week two in the same place as last week, Â ranked ninth in the West Region by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).Â

LAST TIME OUT - Â BILL DELLINGER INVITATIONAL
WSU saw Zorana Grujic cross the finish line first for the Cougars, placing 44th overall with a time of 20:49.3. Grujic was followed by teammate Josie Brown in 62nd at 21:03.1, and Kaili Keefe in 75th with a time of 21:12.6. Marie Gaudin was not far behind Keefe, finishing in 81st overall at 21:20.6, and Erin Mullins went on to place 92nd with a time of 21:24.9. Capping off the results for Washington State was Melissa Hruska at 21:51.3 (110th), Natalie Ackerley at 22:02.3 (118th), and finally Kiyena Beatty with a time of 22:32.7 (128th).
Sophomore Amir Ado turned in an impressive performance today, finishing 12th overall at 23:53.1, and held a top ten spot at various points of the race. Crossing the finsh line next for the Cougars was Colton Johnsen at 24:27.4 (49th), and Justin Janke at 24:35.4 (59th). Matthew Watkins placed 68th with a time of 24:49.9, and right behind him was Zach Stallings in 69th place at 24:51.2. Rounding out the remaining Cougars in this race was Reid Muller at 24:52.9 (72nd), Sam Griffith at 25:26.6 (106th), Jacob Nicholson at 25:53.3 (125th), and Nate Pendleton with a time of 25:55.8 (126th).
