Cougars Add Midseason Transfer Chance Moore
January 14, 2019 | Men's Basketball
Moore will be eligible to play next December.
PULLMAN, Wash. – Chance Moore (6-7, 210, Guard/Forward, Louisville, Ky./Sunrise Christian Academy/Wichita State) has signed a financial aid agreement and has joined the Washington State men's basketball team after transferring from Wichita State, Cougar head coach Ernie Kent announced Monday.
"Since the midyear transfer market has become such a crucial part of recruiting, we're fortunate to have Chance Moore join our program," Kent said. "Chance brings an excellent skill set that will fit nicely with our style of play."
Moore has joined the team and will redshirt the next two semesters due to NCAA transfer rules, before being eligible to play the spring semester of the 2019-20 season as a sophomore.Â
Moore played four games for Wichita State as a freshman in the fall of 2018, averaging 5.0 minutes per game. Following graduation from Fern Creek HS in Kentucky in 2017, Moore spent a year at Sunrise Christian Academy. At FCHS, he led his team to a 35-3 record and a trip to the State semifinals. He was named Sixth Region Player of the Year and second-team all-State. He played his sophomore and junior seasons at Eastern HS before transferring to Fern Creek. Â
