PULLMAN, Wash. – Washington State Tennis swept a pair of matchups against Idaho and Eastern Washington at the Simmelink Tennis Courts in Hollingberry Fieldhouse Saturday.
 
The Cougars opened the day by beating Idaho 7-0. WSU claimed the doubles point after wins by Hikaru Sato/Tiffany Mylonas at No. 2 and Michaela Bayerlova/Aneta Miksovska at No. 3.
 
In singles play, Savanna Ly-Nguyen got things going with an impressive win at No. 4 in her first home collegiate match as Cougar after joining the team at winter break. Bayerlova, ranked No. 83 in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association rankings, followed with a win at No. 1 and Tiffany Mylonas won at No. 3. Hikaru Sato battled back to win the tiebreaker at No. 2 before Yang Lee cruised to a No. 5 win and Aneta Miksovska closed things out with a win at No. 6, her 84^th career victory.
 
In the evening match against Eastern Washington, the Cougars claimed the doubles point with an impressive win from Michaela Bayerlova and Aneta Miksovska at No. 3 before Yang Lee and Melisa Ates clinched things at No. 2.
 
In singles play, Bayerlova opened the scoring with a dominating win in straight sets at No. 1, Ly-Nguyen followed with a win at No. 4 before Mylonas followed with a win at No. 3 and Sato outlasted her opponent at No. 2. Miksovska won in straight sets at No. 5, her 85^th career win, eighth most in school history and Ates closed the day with a win at No. 6.
 
The Cougars will head to Missoula, Mont. next weekend for a pair of matches against Montana and a single match against Michigan State.
