LAS VEGAS - One day after earning All-Pac-12 honors as voted on by the conference's coaches, redshirt-junior Borislava Hristova took home another postseason award as the star forward was named to the media's All-Pac-12 team as announced by the conference office on Wednesday morning. The postseason awards were voted on by a panel of Pac-12 women's basketball media members who cover the league throughout the year. It was the third time Hristova was recognized by the media for her play after earning full team honors last season and honorable mention and all-freshman honors in 2015-16.
Hristova spent the season as one of the elite scorers in the country as she finished the regular season ranked 22nd in the nation and third in the Pac-12 at 20.2 points per game. Her scoring mark is the third-best in WSU single season history while she enters the Pac-12 tournament just 13 points short of posting the sixth 600 point season in program history. Throughout the season Hristova showed off her skills with 15 20+ point efforts while eclipsing the 30-point mark four times including scoring a career high 38 points at Washington to begin Pac-12 play.
Hristova leads the Cougs against Cal Thursday, March 7 to begin play at the 2019Pac-12 Tournament in Las Vegas. The first round contest is scheduled for 6 p.m. on the Pac-12 Network.
