Cougars Complete Day One of Westbrook Invitational

PEORIA, Ariz, - The Washington State women's golf team sits in 15th place after two rounds of play in the Westbrook Invitational. The Cougars finished the day just ahead of Iowa after carding a 13-over, 591. Wisconsin, the hosts of the tournament sit two strokes ahead of WSU.

PEORIA, Ariz, - The Washington State women's golf team sits in 15th place after two rounds of play in the Westbrook Invitational. The Cougars finished the day just ahead of Iowa after carding a 13-over, 591. Wisconsin, the hosts of the tournament sit two strokes ahead of WSU.

Junior Elodie Bridenne leads the Cougars tied for 39th after carding an even-par on the first round, and a two-over, 74, on the second round. Junior Marie Lund-Hansen carded a four-over, 148, through two rounds of play. Competing individually in her first collegiate tournament, Darcy Habgood sits tied for 17th with a one-under, 140 through two rounds. The Nambucca Heads, Australia native carded a two-under, 70 in the second round of play.

Individually, Bridenne and the team will try to chase down Aneka Seumanutafa from Ohio State who leads the tournament with a seven-under, 137. As a team, Nebraska leads the tournament, posting an overall score of 563(-13).

The Cougars will begin the final round of the Westbrook Invitational Monday at 9 a.m.
