LOGAN, Utah – Washington State Tennis opened its second match of the day with a strong start and rode that to a 6-1 victory over Utah State Thursday at the Sports Academy and Racquet Club. The Cougars concluded the match with their second victory of the day to improve to 12-1 on the season. Sophomore
Guzal Yusupova extended the lead in singles, winning in a straight-set at No. 2 singles against Sabrina Demerath.
Michaela Bayerlova was the second singles player to close the match in a straight-set win against Sasha Pisareva, her 18th consecutive singles victory this season, the second-longest streak in WSU history.
Tiffany Mylonas followed suit, with a 6-2, 6-2 victory against Rhoda Tanui to clinch the team victory. It marked Mylonas' team-leading 23rd win of the season. Senior
