LONG BEACH, Calif. – Washington State senior Tiffany Mylonas made it two-for-two in singles titles this fall as she captured the A Flight title at the Long Beach Fall Invitational Sunday afternoon.
 
Mylonas, who captured both the singles and doubles titles at the Cougar Classic last month, dropped just one set en route to her second title of the fall. She defeated Loyola Marymount's Siobhan Anderson, 6-3, 2-6, 6-1 in the final. Mylonas teamed with Hikaru Sato in the A Flight Doubles title match to defeat Munoz and Meyer from Long Beach State, 6-3. Sato won by walkover in the A flight consolation final when her opponent defaulted.
 
In the B Flight Singles, Cougar teammates Yang Lee and Melisa Ates were scheduled to meet in Sunday's final. Instead, the two played other opponents with Lee defeating Long Beach State's Zara Lennon, 6-7, 6-2, 6-3, and Ates posting a 6-3, 6-4 win over Cal State Northridge's Jolene Coetzee. In the B Flight Doubles title match, Ates and Ege Tomey defeated Valk and Rees of Portland State, 6-3.
 
In the C Flight Singles match, Aneta Miksovska needed a first-set tiebreaker as she defeated Long Beach State's Emma Bardet, 7-6, 6-3. In the consolation final, Tomey fell to Cal State Northridge's Sibel Demirbaga, 6-1, 6-2.
 
The Cougars are next in action Oct. 18 when they compete at the ITA Northwest Regional Championships at Stanford, Calif.
